Understanding how your account is being used is an important part of managing penetration testing effectively.
RedVeil is designed to make usage transparent and predictable. You can always see how many Agent Ops are available, how they are being consumed, and what types of tests typically use more or fewer resources.
This article explains where to view usage information and how to set expectations around Agent Ops consumption.
Where to See Your Usage
Your current Agent Ops balance is visible directly within the platform.
From the Usage tab, you can see:
This visibility allows you to understand usage at a glance without needing to export data or contact support.
As tests run, Agent Ops are deducted in real time based on testing activity. When tests are not running, usage remains unchanged.
Typical Consumption Ranges
While every environment is different, most tests fall within predictable ranges.
Web application tests commonly consume anywhere from 100 to 200 Agent Ops, depending on factors such as application complexity, authentication, and observed behavior.
External network testing generally consumes fewer Agent Ops per target, often ranging between 20 and 40 Agent Ops per live IP, depending on exposed services and discovery depth.
