How many network IPs can I test?

Scoping limitations for network IPs

Updated over 2 weeks ago

The number of IP addresses you can test depends on how many Agent Ops are available in your account.

Most external network tests typically consume between 25 and 50 Agent Ops per IP, depending on the scope and complexity of the target.

You can test as many IPs as you’d like using your available Agent Ops, as long as you have sufficient Agent Ops remaining.

💡 Helpful to know

Agent Ops are only consumed for live IPs detected during testing.

If you provide a subnet, range, or CIDR block, RedVeil automatically enumerates the targets and only expends Agent Ops on IPs that respond and are determined to be in scope for testing. Inactive or non-responsive IPs do not consume Agent Ops.
